Proposed Courses Year 2000-2002 B.C.A.-Three year full time Bachelor Degree in Computer Application Year 2001-2002 M.B.A-Two year full-time Master Degree in Business Administration The Master of Computer Applications is a three year (six semester) full time program, affiliated to Bangalore University and recognized by Government of Karnataka and the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi Registration & Eligibility Registration for admission open in February every year. Students who have completed any Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) with mathematics as a compulsory subject in PUC/equivalent are eligible to apply for the course. Admission Procedure & Basis of Selection Students applying for the course should fill up and return the prescribed application form contained in this prospectus, before the due date mentioned. Attested copies of Marks Card of PUC/equivalent examination and Transfer Certificate and a stamped self addressed envelope must accompany the application. Admissions are strictly in order of merit on the basis of aggregate marks scored in the PUC/equivalent examination. Short listed candidates will be require to attend an interview on a notified date. On selection, the Original Marks Card and Transfer Certificate will have to be submitted along with the prescribed fees. Admission to the course is subject to the approval of Bangalore University. of Science The Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science is a three year full time program, affiliated to Bangalore University. Registration & eligibility Registrations for admission open in April/May every year. Students who have completed PUC / 12th standard / the equivalent of a 10+2 education program with physics and mathematics as optional subjects, are eligible to apply for the course. Admission Procedure & Basis of Selection Students applying for the course should fill up and return the prescribed application form contained in this prospectus, before the due date mentioned. Attested copies of Marks Card of Degree examination and Transfer Certificate and a stamped self addressed envelope must accompany the application. Admissions are strictly in order of metric on the basis of aggregate marks scored in the Degree Examination, Short listed candidates will be required to attend an interview on a notified date. On selection, the Original Marks Cards (PUC and Degree). Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate and Migration Certificate (for students coming from outside Karnataka) will have to be submitted along with the prescribed fees. Admission to the course is subject to the approval of Bangalore NIMIS has a camps that is fully equipped to meet the needs of students: CYBER CENTER: Air-conditioned networked computer labs with LAN and Internet connections supported by uninterrupted power supply with Multimedia Pentium-3, 64MHz etc. cyber center will be kept open for 12 to 16 hrs. everyday.

Student Services Library At the core of NIMIS is a well equipped and continuously updated library. The library has a wide range of the latest books on all fields of Management and Information Technology, in addition to an array of International and Indian periodicals. Audio Visual Facilities The audio visual medium is an integral part of presentations by faculty, guest speakers and students of NIMIS. The audio visual presentation equipment available at NIMIS includes: Video projector, slide and data projectors, TVs and VCRs, Cassette and CD players. Also available are range of management and IT presentations on cassette, Video Tape, CD and VCD as learning aids and for better student understanding. Hostel Facilities NIMIS has separate hostel facilities for male and female students. Requests for hostel facilities must be made well in advance. Adherence to hostel rules at all times is mandatory. Hostel facilities are liable to the revoked if you do not follow the rules. Enrichment Program Guest lectures by experts, seminars, workshops, debates and interaction with industry are an integral part of the educational programs at NIMIS. Students are encouraged to organize and conduct programs, with or without faculty assistance in an endeavor to develop organizational and managerial abilities and to inculcate a team approach to problem solving. Placements NIMIS provides facilities for summer and final placement of students in industry. NIMIS reserves the right to screen students to be eligible for placements through the institution. Matrix 2000 To welcome the New Millennium, the students association of NIMIS organised Matrix 2000 (Excellence in research through technology & Management), an inter collegiate cultural management & IT fest.
